Shipping, Sales Tax, and Build Policy

At Village Furniture Shoppe, we strive to provide the best shipping experience for our customers. The price you see for each item includes shipping to the lower 48 states as well as sales tax.  The price of each item is your "all-in" cost.  Shipping for most pieces is by UPS or FedEx.  Larger pieces require the use of LTL carriers.  The choice of shipper is solely ours.

All of our furniture is made to order, requiring build times prior to shipping.  Typical lead times are five to eight weeks before shipping.  Slight changes in dimensions are possible and will not result in an up-charge.  Paint, Shaker tape, etc. are all available in different colors and are included in the price you pay.  After your order is placed, you will be contacted about paint colors, seating color, etc.  

Our museum-quality reproductions are made with the identical joinery methods, glue, and finishes used in the pre-industrial age originals and are made entirely by hand, with no electric tools other than an electric lathe.

Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Village Furniture Shoppe. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, you may return it within one year for a full refund. Please note that returned items must be in their original condition.  If you would like to exchange an item, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.  The customer bears the cost of return shipping.

Please note that our chairs and other seating pieces are historically accurate, and thus made to historical dimensions, which typically contemplated people whose weight was in proportion to their height.
